Chandra and Courtenay Givens filed a lawsuit against Walgreens after Chandra was allegedly given the wrong prescription, which led to her miscarrying. Walgreens, a Deerfield, Illinois based pharmacy chain, has been accused of giving out wrong prescriptions in the past. These mis-filled prescriptions can lead to serious health problems, including death.

Chandra Givens was prescribed a pre-natal vitamin but she received Matulane, a chemotherapy drug. The drug causes problems with cell growth and DNA development. Givens filed a wrongful death and medical malpractice suit against Walgreens and is asking for medical expenses as well as damages for the lost life of her unborn child. If you or someone you know has had a prescription mis-filled and as a result had adverse side effects, contact an attorney immediately.
