Antoine Bolden's mother filed a lawsuit against Jerry Moncrease and Bryden Transportation Company on Tuesday. Moncrease was the driver of the bus that struck and killed Bolden last month. The bus driver later admitted drinking alcohol prior to his shift and after he dropped off a bus load of children at a Chicago school. He was traveling approximately 70 miles per hour when the accident occurred in Chicago at the Garfield exit on the Dan Ryan expressway.

Antoine Bolden was the father of three young children and his mother's only son. Bolden's death may have been avoided if more precautions were put in place by the bus company who hired Moncrease. The attorney for Bolden is looking into adding the Chicago Board of Education to the lawsuit if an investigation uncovers that the board could have done more to prevent the accident.
