A 19 year old student at Fresno State in California died in January of 2006 after consuming four times the legal limit of alcohol. Danny Daniels' death is not the first death linked to a fraternity and caused by excessive drinking. There have been numerous other lawsuits filed for the wrongful deaths of other students that were partaking in fraternity activities and resulted in death, all alcohol related.

Every time a student with connections to a fraternity is found dead after drinking too much alcohol, the fraternity is banned from the campus and the school and the fraternity are sued. This cycle needs to stop. Colleges and fraternities are apparently not getting the message that there needs to be some type of guidelines implemented to avoid the deaths of anymore students. Nothing was done in time for Daniels' death, but maybe this will be a wake up call for change at Fresno State and other institutions.
