Tennessee Verdict for Emergency Room Nonchalance

The largest Medical Malpractice Verdict ever in Warren County, Tennessee has been awared to the widow of a patient who died 30 minutes after being discharged without treatment by a nurse practitioner. The jury found against River Park Hospital after hearing evidence that the patient had complained of intense left arm pain but was told to go home. I suggest that patient's and their families should be "squeaky wheels" and demand reasonable medical care, even if it ruffles some administrator's feathers. Don't pay for hospital mistakes with YOUR life.
