The Illinois State Medical Board has recommended that Dr. Joshua Salvador's license to practice be suspended immediately due to a long list of medical malpractice cases against the Chicago physician.

The board cited Salvador for three instances of gross negligence, including sending a woman home with a perforated bladder after performing surgery to remove a uterine fibroid tumor and failing to properly sedate a man or correctly install his pacemaker - negligence that ultimately led to the man's death.

According to cbs2chicago.com,

The administrative law judge who heard evidence in the case told the medical board there would be a serious risk of harm presented if Dr. Salvador is allowed to continue practicing medicine.

He wrote that the surgeries Salvador did should have been performed in a hospital and the Salvador "suffered from delusions of grandeur."

Salvador is accused of performing surgeries on trusting patients in his office when in fact the surgeries should have been performed in hospitals.
