Another round of recalled laptop batteries has just begun. Sanyo batteries that are used in ThinkPad computers are being recalled. Previously, 500,000 Sony batteries were recalled due to the chance that they could cause fire.

The Sanyo batteries that are currently being recalled are nine cell batteries that were installed in eight different computers. These batteries are dangerous because they can overheat and cause fire if the laptop is dropped. To date there is only one reported injury, which was reported as a minor eye irritation.
