Ford has announced it is recalling Ford Escapes from model years 2001-2004. The recall affects 527,000 Ford Escapes in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe, with the bulk of the recalled vehicles in the U.S. The recall is due to a faulty anti-lock braking system that if not fixed could result in a fire.

At this time Ford has stated that it does not believe that the defective system has caused any fires. If, however, you or someone you know has or had a Ford Escape that has caught on fire for some unknown reason, contact an attorney immediately.
